Entry VII
Everything in Amber is…chaotic…
While attending an after-dinner party, Merlin and Gilva were attacked by an unknown enemy and Merlin has now disappeared. Myrrdin found Gilva who had some sorcerous item shoved into her flesh. Shortly after we found out about the attack, Yasmine noticed something was wrong with Amber’s sky. According to Wren, the sky here never changes so when the stars and moon started disappearing they alerted their other relatives and headed to the Pattern room. We had to fight our way there through stalkers from Chaos but when we arrived all that was left of The Pattern was the etching on the floor.
We ended up fighting several more stalkers in the King’s sitting room and a shapeshifter and former member of House Channicut named Gloom who had disguised himself as the Princess Fiona. After the fight ended, the others nursed their wounds. Zythanimaerius arrived with news that the King is missing and it’s rumored that Prince Caine is involved in his disappearance. His son Crown Prince Martin has declared himself Regent in his father’s absence.
I have to say that I am surprised at the way the Amberites handled Zythanimaerius’ strange behavior. If anyone acted like that in my House, High Lord Bleys would have eliminated them immediately. You can’t let the weak water down the strength of the House.
